EnviroSIR Version 1.0
STATISTICAL INVENTORY RECONCILIATION TEST METHOD (QUANTITATIVE)
Certification: | Leak Rate of 0.2 gph, Leak
Threshold of 0.10 gph: PD=99.9% and PFA=0.1% for both single and manifolded tanks. Leak Rate of 0.2 gph, Leak Threshold of 0.15 gph: PD=97.4% and PFA=0.1% for both single and manifolded tanks. Leak Rate of 0.1 gph, Leak Threshold of 0.05 gph: PD=97.4% and PFA=2.6% for both single and manifolded tanks. |
Leak Threshold: | 0.10 gph and 0.15 gph (User
Selectable) for the 0.2 gph Leak Rate. 0.05 gph for the 0.1 gph Leak Rate. A system should not be declared tight if the test results indicate a loss or gain that equals or exceeds the declared threshold. |
Applicability: | Gasolines, diesels, and
kerosene. |
Tank Capacity: | Maximum of 45,000 gallons
for single tank or manifold tank systems with no more
than four tanks in the system. |
Data Requirement: | Minimum of 28 days of data
is required. |
System Features: | The method of data analysis
that this system employs, and that was used during the
evaluation process, is exclusive of any external control
by the vendor. It consists of a fully automated software
package with embedded algorithms for conducting leak
detection testing. Consequently, the third party
evaluation procedure demonstrated that this product can
be used as an in-house SIR system with no requirement for
direct vendor participation. However, the method will in
certain exceptional cases generate a flag that requires
an EnviroSIR trained and certified specialist to
carefully analyze the data and make a final decision. The
vendor states that this software is Y2K compliant. |
Evaluation Features: | The evaluator tested
this method as an in-house SIR system. The SIR method
computer program disk along with instructional
documentation was supplied by the vendor to the
evaluator. The evaluator, without vendor involvement,
analyzed the required data and performed the evaluation
using the program disk and accompanying documentation.
The program also incorporates context-sensitive Help
information. The vendor was not present during this
evaluation. |
Comments: | Evaluated for manifold tank
systems using an acceptable protocol. 53% of data sets evaluated were from manifold tank systems. Of 43 data sets submitted for evaluation, all were analyzed with conclusive results. Median monthly throughput of tanks evaluated was 18,897 gallons. Leak rates of 0.05, 0.10, and 0.20 gph were used in the evaluation. Data sets evaluated were supplied by the evaluator. |
